Canes Concierge Reemployment Program

University of Miami employees affected by the layoff and who are in good standing will have the opportunity to be placed in an open position at the University for which they qualify within 60 days. The steps for this process are as follows:

  • Within two business days you will be contacted by a Talent Acquisition recruiter to set up a meeting. During the meeting, you will discuss your skills, strengths, and positions of interest. The recruiter will also review your resume and go over interviewing tips, training, and additional resources to assist you throughout the hiring process.
  • You will be provided with an opportunity to participate in a two-day re-employment workshop sponsored by Right Management. The workshop provides tools and techniques needed to conduct an effective job search. 
  • You will then formally apply to any applicable UM positions via a confidential link for preferred internal candidates.
  • You should continue to review job openings regularly, identifying positions of interest and advising your recruiter via email. At the same time, your recruiter will continue to identify additional positions of interest, notifying you throughout the process.

If you are qualified for a specific position, you will be scheduled for an interview with a hiring manager.
