UCU Housing & Financial Loans

 

University of Miami benefits-eligible(1) faculty and staff have exclusive access to several loan options through the University Credit Union. 

1. Employees classified as temporary, temporary intermittent, faculty-intermittent (seasonal), casual, per diem, or student are not eligible.


Rental Housing Loan

Provides financial assistance for moving from one rental housing to another. Can be used to cover up-front moving costs, realtor fees, security deposit, etc.

  • 0% interest loan up to $3,500​

Homeowner Moving Expenses Loan

Help to cover moving expenses. Can be used to cover moving expenses for moving into ownership of a house or condominium

Home Emergency Hardship Loan

Financial assistance for certain types of housing related emergencies. Can be used to cover catastrophic rental and homeowner emergencies.

Employee Mortgage Loan Program

  • 97% Loan-to-Value (LTV) Mortgage Loan Program to empower employees to purchase a home with just a 3% down payment.
    • ​Loan 1: 80% Fixed-Rate First Mortgage.​
    • Loan 2: 17% Second Lien Mortgage:
      • Adjustable rate
      • 3/1 Hybrid Home Equity interest rate will be .25% lower than the 80% Fixed Rate First Mortgage

Upon approval, the University will forward your form to University Credit Union. A designated loan officer will contact you within two business days once the application has been assigned.
