Mentor Protégé Program

The Business Development Program (BDP) launched the mentor protégé program in 2011 to assist women-and minority owned businesses (WMBEs) based in South Florida with their business development opportunities. The program, in partnership with the Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council, connects the University’s subject matter experts with local suppliers based on their business needs and the expertise of the mentors. The program is focused on enhancing the skills of women/minority vendors thus allowing them to become more successful business owners/executives. The program includes vendor protégés representing a diversity of industries and commodities ranging from healthcare to marketing and construction.
